Announcement!

I have a somewhat big announcement. No, I am not pregnant. Not yet at least! This is something completely different. It is something I have always wanted to do but have been way to scared. I have a hard time believing in myself, even when other people tell me I would be or am really great at something. But I have finally decided to listen and take a chance.

I am staring my own business. More specifically, I am starting a wedding planning business! Ever since planning my own wedding, I have been in love with everything to do with weddings. I love the flowers, the romance, the colors, the joy, everything! After the wedding, I have felt like something was missing in my life. So I am going to be a wedding planner!

I am going to stay at my current job and try the wedding planning business part time. I have two friends that are engaged and I have offered to help them do whatever they need me to do. Hopefully, they will be happy with me and be my first references!

I need to start a website but first I need to come up with a name for my business. I have a few ideas and need your help! Let me know which one you like the best. Here is what I have come up with so far:

Southern Ceremonies
Southern Charm Ceremonies
Rebecca's Roses and Rings
Hitched without a Hitch

What do you guys think? Do you have a favorite? Is there one I should eliminate? Do you guys have any other ideas for a name that I can use? Help me!

Congratulations, Becs! That is so wonderfully exciting! If your wedding is any indication, your business will be a huge success! In fact, I'm sure of it!

I like Rebecca's Roses and Rings. I also like the alliteration of Southern Ceremonies. Not a fan of Hitched without a Hitch... too many hitches. Maybe something like Hitches, no Glitches or something? But Rebecca's Roses and Rings is still, by far, my fave.

How exciting! Can't wait to hear all the details of all the weddings to come.

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations! Good for you! It's a bold move but it sounds like you're going about it with a good game plan (getting your feet wet and getting references, etc.)

I personally love the sound of Southern Charm Ceremonies: it's whimsical but not overly cutesy. I'd personally eliminate Hitched Without a Hitch because it seems a little gimmicky, and I'm personally not crazy about the alliteration in Rebecca's Roses and Rings -- although a good thing about that one is that including your name makes it sound unique and personalizes it to you.

Good luck!

Also, way to say "personally" like nineteen thousand times in your comment, TKOG. Let's just go ahead and pretend I proofread that one better before hitting "submit"...

Hmm, I'm not sure I like any of those. :) Sorry if I'm too blunt. I will definitely get on thinking of something and get back to ya.

Love love,
Shelle

How exciting! Now if only I could have someone come and plan my very own wedding...! ;-)

I like 'Roses and Rings' on its own. Southern Ceremonies reminds me of a place near where I used to lived called Southern Cemeteries, a place where people got buried! Roses and Rings sound different and more catchy. 'Roses & Rings - Weddings & Events'.

Whatever you decided, congratulations on taking that brave step into the world of entrepreneurship!

Hitched without a Hitch is super catchy. It jumped straight out at me. Although I see others are not as keen here in the comments. I think it's awesome!

Best of luck with your new business. How exciting!
